GREENVILLE - The Greenville Police Department and neighboring law enforcement agencies are investigating a rash of burglaries that occurred over the weekend at several cellular retail stores.

In Greenville, a rock shattered the glass on a main entrance door to the AT&T store, located at 1453 Wagner Ave., but detectives do not believe the suspects made entry and no items were reported missing from the store.

Several items were taken from the Verizon store across the street. A surveillance camera caught three suspects making entry through a side portion of a storefront window after a rock was thrown through the glass. The perpetrators quickly entered the establishment and were able to steal a set of speakers and other small miscellaneous items before exiting just over a minute later. No cellular phones or mobile devices were reported stolen.

Stores in Miami and Montgomery counties also had similar break-ins reported. Investigators believe the offenses are related.

If you have any information about the burglaries or the identity of the suspects, please contact the Greenville Police Department at 937-548-1103 or call the Darke County Crime Stoppers Tipline at 937-547-1661.
