Local woman convicted on multiple burglaries

GREENVILLE - A local woman was convicted on four counts of Burglary Tuesday morning in the Darke County Common Pleas Court.

Lacie D. Copeland, 21, of Greenville entered a guilty plea to four of the five second degree felony counts of Burglary in which she was indicted on in August of 2013. The offenses reportedly occurred in September of 2012 involving four victims according to Darke County Prosecuting Attorney Kelly Ormsby.

Judge Jonathan P. Hein revoked the previous own recognizance (OR) and ordered Copeland be held in the Darke County Criminal Justice Center on a $50,000 cash, surety or property bond pending a sentencing hearing set for April 14 at 2:30 p.m.

Copeland faces a maximum of 32 years in prison and a $60,000 fine. She is represented by local defense attorney Randall E. Breaden.
