Greenville honors winter sports athletes

GREENVILLE – Greenville High School paid tribute to its winter sports athletes at the 2013-14 winter sports awards banquet.

There were 64 high school athletes named winter season scholar athletes for the Green Wave sports program.

Paige Keller was introduced as the 2014 gymnastics vault state champion and a state qualifier in the uneven parallel bars.

Girls basketball:

MVP: Haleigh Luce

Most Improved: Sara Wenning

Coaches Award: Karlee Lennen

Best Free Throw Percentage: Paige Tester

Sportsmanship Award: Chloe McKinney

Co-Defensive Stopper: Rachel Foreman and Emily Beanblossom

Boys basketball:

Wave Award/MVP: Clay Guillozet

Most Improved: Aaron Balsbaugh

Coaches Award: Zach Comer

Best Free Throw Percentage: Allen Tabler

Mr. Defense: Kendall Hemer
