UNION CITY, Ohio — During the first meeting of the year, Union City Village Council selected new members to fill the vacancies created on council at the turn of the year.

A four-year term was left vacant after member Meta Sue Livington opted out of seeking another term during the November election. No other residents chose to run for the seat at the time.

Council member Zach Pruitt had two years remaining on his council term when he won the mayor’s seat vacated by Scott Stahl.

During Monday evening’s meeting, the two-year term was filled by Vickie VanTrees, and the four-year term was filled by Shane Crawford.
