Greenville Transit System driver receives award

GREENVILLE – Raymond (Buzz) Lines was presented the Katherine McClary Safe Driver award for the first quarter in 2016. In order to be eligible for this prestigious award, a driver must be accident free and evaluated by a criteria based on their job performance, including being accident free and good customer service.

Lines has been a driver for Greenville Transit (GTS) since 1995, starting out as a Taxi Driver and then moved into a transit driver. He works for MV Transportation, whose Safety Program is well known in the transportation industry.

Katherine McClary was hit and killed in an intersection on September 11, 2004 by an MV Bus Driver in North Carolina. Any driver, who is given the Katherine McClary Award, is keeping her name in the forefront of the Safety Program. MV Transportation has operated the Greenville Transit System since 2010.
