FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery Historical Society and Project Recovery will hold their One-of-a-Kind Auction on Oct. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the elementary/middle school in the auditeria.

The theme of the auction this year is “Up! Up! and Away!”

This event has become the major source of funds to support the maintenance of historical sites and the Visitors Center in the community.

Tickets are now on sale at the Fort Recovery Insurance Agency, Mercer Savings Bank, First Financial Bank, Second National Bank, Kaup Pharmacy, or from members of the Fort Recovery Historical Society and Project Recovery. Tickets are $10, which includes bid number and the appetizer and dessert buffet catered by the Psi Iota Xi sorority.

Some items of interest to be sold at the auction include patio table with umbrella, two chairs and ottoman, Lake House/Indiana Beach package, 225 souvenir gun, tenderloin Tuesday for a year, UD Flyer tickets, week at Orlando condo, canoe trip, two 16-inch pizzas a month for a year, Cooper variety package, Destin, Florida, condo, child’s barn, Fairfield Glades, Tennessee, condos, Rossburg Acres outing, cannonball, small handcrafted cannon, home security package, Ohio State Fair package, pie-a-month; bowling party, pool party, homemade wine, St. Anthony Dinner Theater tickets, handcrafted wooden bowls, Irish mail handcar and a Shell electric stop light.

The special raffle items this year include a 14K blue topaz pendant set with .25 carat white diamonds valued at $1,195; a Ruger 10/22 rifle; and an iPad Mini 2 with 32 gb.
