Christmas at museum Friday night

VERSAILLES — An evening of wonder and merriment is slated as the Versailles Area Museum celebrates the wonder of the season.

On Friday from 5-8 p.m., the public is invited to join the museum board and volunteers in a Christmas lighted tour of the museum. While the lights are low the feel of the season envelopes everyone to the days of those Currier and Ives prints of Christmases past.

Several costumed interpreters will share recollections of area events of Christmas through the ages.

“What a special night for you and the whole family to join us for a leisurely evening of browsing about, meeting old friends and maybe even a little shopping in our gift shop,” said a spokesperson.”All of this as our holiday gift to you. Remember, we will be closing at the end of the month for our annual January cleaning. We will reopen on Feb. 7 to kick off our 2016 season with wonderful new displays planned. Please join us this Friday for an evening at the museum.”
