Hundreds race in Patriot Invitational

NEW MADISON — Almost 400 high school and junior high runners competed at Tri-Village’s Patriot Invitational cross country meet on Tuesday in New Madison.The Miami East girls and Tippecanoe boys won the high school team championships at the meet, which included Darke County schools Arcanum, Bradford, Franklin Monroe, Mississinawa Valley and Tri-Village. Miami East’s Lorenza Savini won the individual high school girls meet with a time of 21:06, and Newton’s Brady McBride won the high school boys race in 17:07.In the girls portion of the high school meet, Miami East was the champion, National Trail was the runner up, and Tippecanoe placed third.
