Celina dominates late to beat Versailles

CELINA — The Versailles Tigers played even with the Celina Bulldogs for two-and-a-half quarters, but the Bulldogs dominated the last quarter and a half.The Bulldogs held a slim 6-3 lead with less than two minutes to go in the third quarter. Celina scored three touchdowns in the ensuing six minutes to take down the Tigers 26-3 on Friday night.Both defenses played lights out in the first half. The Bulldogs took a 6-0 lead on a 49-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.The Bulldogs were back in Tiger territory on their next drive, but on a pass to the end zone, cornerback David Stewart played the ball perfectly and intercepted Celina quarterback Caleb Hoying.
