GETTYSBURG — A teen driver was cited following a two-vehicle collision in Gettysburg June 17 at 7:59 p.m.

Darke County Deputies, along with Gettysburg Fire and Gettysburg Rescue, were dispatched to the intersection of East Main Street and Clay Street in the Village of Gettysburg on a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Investigation revealed that one of the drivers, Ryan Campbell, 17, of rural Greenville, driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, was westbound on East Main Street when he attempted to turn left onto Clay Street Campbell failed to yield to a 1989 Chevrolet pick up, driven by Shaun Idle, 25, of Rossburg, which was eastbound on East Main Street.

Careflight responded to the scene, and Idle was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Campbell was cited for failure to yield while turning left.
