ARCANUM — A woman was airlifted Wednesday evening after a serious car accident.
On November 16 at approximately 10:46 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Tri-Village Rescue, Tri-Village Fire, Arcanum Police Department and Lifeline were dispatched to U.S. Route 127 just south of Arcanum Hollansburg Road in reference to a single-vehicle, injury accident.
The preliminary investigation revealed Jena Garland, 37, of West Alexander, Ohio was driving a gray 2000 Buick Century southbound on U.S. Route 127. Garland traveled off the right side of roadway striking a mailbox and a utility pole and was trapped inside her vehicle. She was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital for her injuries.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
