Husted announces public tickets for Electoral College

COLUMBUS, Ohio— Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced Friday tickets are now available for members of the public to attend the meeting of the 54th Electoral College at the Ohio Statehouse. The event will be broadcast on large-screens in both the Statehouse Rotunda and the Statehouse Atrium.

The Electoral College is required to be held on the first Monday following the second Wednesday of every year. In 2016, it will be held on December 19 at noon.

Members of the public interested in attending the Electoral College can request their tickets by going to www.OhioSecretaryofState.gov and selecting “54th Electoral College.”

A direct link to the public tickets site is available by going online to www.sos.state.oh.us/SOS/elections/candidates/ElectoralCollege/Register.aspx. Fill in all the required fields on the webpage and hit “Submit.”

Tickets are limited and will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to request a ticket is Friday, December 16, 2016.
