Greenville Municipal Concert Band to continue Pops in the Park Series

GREENVILLE – The next concert in the Greenville Municipal Concert Band Pops in the Park series will take place this Sunday at the Marling Band Shell in the Greenville City Park.

The concert will be directed by JR Price and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

This week the band will present a historical tribute to the great music genre of Rock n Roll. The band will present selections from the roots of rock starting in the 50’s with Bill Haley and Comets. Musical selections from super groups such as Chicago, Journey, The Doors and The Rolling Stones will be performed.

“We will also perform marches and the very exciting overture The Corsairs Landing. This will be a fun and entertaining concert to be enjoyed by all,” said Price.

The History of Rock n Roll show will be presented by the Greenville Municipal Concert Band this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. Plenty of seating is available at our beautiful concert setting but you are invited to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the show.
