Police seek Sunoco robbery suspect

GREENVILLE — Law enforcement is seeking a suspect wanted in a Sunday morning robbery in Greenville.

At approximately 7:17 a.m. Sunday, Greenville Police officers were dispatched to Sunoco, 841 Martin Street, on a report of an armed robbery.

The suspect, described by police as a “short, stocky” white male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black facemask, brandished a knife during the robbery. He then fled on foot, and was last seen heading southbound on the west side of the gas station building.

The robber made off with approximately $230 in cash. No one was injured during the incident. Police are expected to review video surveillance cameras to help identify the suspect.

The Sunoco station has also been the site of armed robberies in August 2014 and May 2015.
