GREENVILLE — A Greenville, Ohio, woman was hospitalized following a one-car accident.

On June 12 at approximately 9:47 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Liberty Township Fire and Union City Rescue, were dispatched to the 2200 block of State Route 502 reference a one-vehicle rollover accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Buick Park Avenue, driven by Cathy Swafford, 49, of Greenville, was eastbound on 502. Swafford swerved to miss an object on the roadway, over corrected, and lost control of her vehicle going off the right side of the road. Swafford’s vehicle struck a concrete culvert causing the vehicle to overturn, going through a fence.

Swafford was treated at the scene by Union City Rescue and was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Swafford’s condition is unknown at this time.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
