City to install temporary ‘no parking’ signs during fair

GREENVILLE —The City of Greenville Street Department will be installing temporary no parking on the following streets from Thursday, August 17 through Saturday, August 26.

  • Central Avenue from Martz Street to Birt Street (both sides of street)
  • Martz Street from Ft. Jefferson Avenue to Sweitzer Street (south side of street)
  • Martz Street from Central Avenue to Harrison Avenue (both sides of street)
  • Martz Street from Harrison Ave to Washington Avenue (south side of street)
  • Fair Street from Central Avenue to Gray Avenue (both sides of street)
  • Harrison Avenue from Birt Street to Sherman Street (east side of street)
  • Wayne Avenue from Birt Street to Sherman Street (east side of street)
  • Birt Street from Sweitzer Street to Washington Avenue (south side of street)
  • Sherman Street from Ft. Jefferson Avenue to Central Avenue (south side of street)
  • Sherman Street from Central Avenue to Wayne Avenue (both sides of street)

“This has been deemed necessary during the fair to increase public safety for pedestrians, motorist, and residence. It will also allow emergency vehicles and equipment to safely and efficiently move in and around these areas. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause,” said Ryan Delk.
