GREENVILLE – Whirlpool Corporation Greenville Operations recently donated more than $18,000 to three area food pantries.

The money was raised at an employee golf outing.

“One of the great things about working at Whirlpool Corporation is being able to hold events in support of our communities,” said Ken Hossler, Greenville Operations Plant Lead. “We have a group of employees that come together each year to put on a golf outing to raise money for the community. The donations we are able to make to the three area food banks are a result of our employees, our suppliers and our community members coming together for a great cause!”

Checks for $6,148.91 were presented to EUM Church/FISH Choice Pantry, Grace Resurrection Food Pantry and Castine Area Food Bank.
