GREENVILLE – An accident at U.S. Route 127 and Kruckeberg Road resulted in two people being injured.
At approximately 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, personnel from Greenville Township Fire and Rescue along with deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the intersection of U.S. Route 127 and Kruckeberg Road in regards to an accident with injuries.
According to deputies on scene, a gray Ford Ecosport was traveling eastbound on Kruckeberg Road when it failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The Ford traveled into the path of an oncoming black Chevy Cruze that was northbound on U.S. Route 127, causing a T-bone style collision. Both vehicles continued off the east side of the roadway, coming to rest just north of the intersection.
The female drivers of both vehicles, and sole occupants, suffered minor injuries and were treated on the scene by Greenville Township Rescue before being transported to Wayne HealthCare.
The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Department.
