PORTLAND, Ind. – The action-packed Jay County Truck, Tractor & Farm Tractor Pull is set to occur on Saturday, June 29 at the Jay County Fairgrounds, 806 E. Votaw St., Portland, Ind. Grandstands and parking admission are available for free for spectators to come and marvel at the competition offered at the Jay County Truck, Tractor & Farm Tractor Pull.

Beginning at 3 p.m., pit and grandstands gates will open for spectators and participants to enter the event. BBQ truck concession vendors will be on-site beginning at 3 p.m., selling their tasty BBQ food menu items. Hoosier Que Daddy Too of East-Central Indiana will be one of the featured BBQ vendors.

Continuing in to Saturday evening, over six pulling classes will begin entertaining the crowd at 6 p.m. The Jay County Truck, Tractor & Farm Tractor Pull features both stock and altered diesel & gas trucks, along with stock and altered farm tractors and American big block rail tractors. This event is primarily geared towards novice and semi-competitive truck, tractor & farm tractor entrees. There is a $10 adult admission fee for those who wish to access the pit area to get a closer view of the truck, tractor and farm tractor competitors. Truck, tractor & tractor pull drivers with a paid entry will be admitted free. For those children aged 5-12, there will be a $5 admission pit pass available and children aged under 5 are free to enter the pits.

In the circumstance that the event is forced to reschedule due to inclement weather, event organizers have set a rain date of Sunday, June 30 at 2 p.m. Major event sponsors include Beck’s Seeds, Barnett’s Auto Parts & Wrecker Service, Lutes and Sons Septic Services and Vore’s Welding & Steele, Inc. Other generous event sponsors are Dalton’s Concrete Construction, Miles Mowing & Lawn Care, R&R RV Repair and Jay County Visitor & Tourism Bureau.
