UNION CITY, Ind. — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held for the Dean-Cady Group Insurance Agency, located at 227 W. Oak St. in Union City Indiana.

The Union City Indiana/Ohio Chamber of Commerce conducted the ribbon cutting for the independent insurance agency.

Dean-Cady offer all lines of insurance products, including home, auto, business, farm, and life. They represent several insurance companies and are licensed to write business in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.

Officer Manager Vicki Day said the owners [Michael Dean and Mike Cady] decided to set up a site in Union City because she, Dean and Angie LeMaster are all from the area and thought there was a need for this type of service in Randolph County.

“All three of us worked for different agencies,” said Day. “This is the third local office for the Mike Cady company, which also has offices in Bluffton and Huntington, Indiana. We are focusing on hometown, customer service, with an emphasis on our customers. We want that personal touch, not working with them on the telephone or Internet. We will make sure they’re covered correctly. We want to bring that personal touch to town.”

The agents have their own specialties; Dean specializes in commercial and agribusiness insurance; Day in farm, personal lines and small business; LeMaster in personal lines; Cady in business and transportation; Doug Thurber in financial products and life.
