GREENVILLE — Community members looking for a bargain found one Thursday, at Village Green Health Campus.

It hosted its second annual Charity Yard Sale, where everything sold for cheap – most items were $1 or less. Brenda Wallace, of Greenville, said this was her first time attending the event, and she found some real treasures.

Trilogy Health Services, LLC, owns Village Green Health Campus. According to Village Green Health Campus Community Service Representative Nikki Nealeigh, the company has an Independence for Hunger Food Drive January – the 4th of July. This Charity Garage Sale is part of that drive.

“Our goal, this year, is to raise enough money to have bought at least 8,000 pounds of food for a charity,” Nealeigh said. “Every dollar counts as four pounds. In addition to fund-raising events, we also collect donations at our monthly employee events; in our lobby during the first six months of the year and at our Senior Executive Club.”

Trilogy chooses one food bank each year. Last year it was Fish Choice Pantry, in Greenville, and this year it is Versailles Council of Churches, which runs the Versailles Food Pantry.

“It is going very well and we have been very busy,” Nealeigh said. “We had some furniture and some medical supplies and all of those have sold. Everything we don’t sell we will donate to a charity.”

To donate non-perishable food or money to the Village Green Campus for the Versailles Food Pantry, visit 1315 KitchenAidWay, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
