Aug. 22

-8:11 p.m.: theft. A male juvenile was cited for misdeanor theft after reportedly stealing merchandise at Walmart.

Aug. 25

-11:39 a.m.: theft. A possible theft was referred to the prosecutor’s office for review by the grand jury after Rufus King reportedly removed his vehicle from the lot at Dave Knapp Ford without paying for repairs completed there.

Aug. 27

-7:46 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Greenville Police received a report of reckless driving that led to a confrontation following the incident.

Aug. 28

-10:56 p.m.: theft. Michael Crawford was reported for theft of items from Walmart but could not immediately be located for citation.

Aug. 29

-2:05 a.m.: obstructing official business. Austin Parkman was arrested and jailed on $1,550 bond on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest when he interfered with police on a keep the peace call.

Accident

-Barbara A. Hart, 74, of Greenville, was cited for a passing to the right violation following a two-vehicle collision Monday, Aug. 24, at 2:18 p.m.

Hart was reportedly traveling north on Broadway behind a vehicle driven by Carol L. Preston, 73, of Arcanum, approaching the traffic circle when Preston made a right turn into the parking area in front of 101 E. Main St. Hart attempted to pass to the right of Preston, causing Preston’s vehicle to strike Hart’s.

The Hart vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the Preston vehicle had minor damage.

-James M. Johnson, 26, of Greenville, was cited for failure to yield while turning left following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 7:51 a.m.

According to the crash report, Johnson was travelling south in the 1500 block of Wagner Avenue in the continuous left turn lane when he attempted to turn left and struck the northbound vehicle, driven by Anzio R. Martinez, 43, of Piqua.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
