Dec. 22

-8:55 a.m.: theft. Kroger reported two males left the store with grocery carts filled with Tide laundry detergent and beer and pop. The suspects were recognized from surveillance video as the same two who committed a similar theft on Dec. 20.

Dec. 24

-2:23 p.m.: warrant. Hunter Smith was arrested on a warrant out of Celina for theft. She was transferred to Celina Police Department with a $2,000 bond.

-7:11 p.m.: assault. Dennis Yohey was arrested for an assault on a male victim at a residence in the 400 block of East Fourth Street. He was incarcerated at Darke County jail on a $1,025 bond.

Accidents

-Cameron O. Keiser, 19, of New Weston, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian after hitting a man in a crosswalk Dec. 22 at 4:35 p.m. According to the police report, Keiser was driving west on East Russ Road near when he attempted to turn left onto Wagner and struck Clifford I. Gibson, 84, of Greenville.

Gibson was transported by Greenville Township Rescue to Wayne HealthCare for non-incapacitating injuries.

-Lisa A. Barga, 50, of Greenville, was cited for failure to yield from a private drive after pulling from the McDonald’s parking lot onto East Russ Road into the path of Joseph M. Hart, 51, of Greenville, Dec. 23 at 1:05 p.m. The Barga vehicle had moderate damage, and the Hart vehicle had minor damage.
