GREENVILLE - Ava Hummel and Evan Addis were selected this year’s Little Miss and Mister Darke County Fair at a pageant Monday night in the Youth Building at the fair.
They were among 14 boys and 30 girls who vied for the titles at the competition for which the theme was Magical Kingdom.
Ava, 5, is the daughter of Jared and Christi Hummel, and Evan is 5 and the son of Larry and Amy Addis.
First runner-up in the Little Miss competition was Adeline Wooten, 5-year-old daughter of Brad and Lacy Wooten; second runner-up, Averi Ahrns, 3-year-old daughter of Karl and Tyann Ahrns; and third runner-up was Destiny Vanatta, 5, daughter of Sherry Rodeheffer.
Hunter Myers, 4, son of Scott and Darlene Meyers, was first-runner-up; Daniel Davis, 4-year-old son of Marah and Dylan Davis, was second runner-up; and Aaron Wright, 5, son of Clint and Charlene Wright, was third runner-up.
Named Most Photogenic in both pageants were Sophia Trout, for the girls, and Madden Strickland, for the boys. Sophia is the 3-year-old daughter of Jim and Ashley Trout, and Madden, is also 3, and the son of Amariah and Justin Strickland.
Other contestants in the Little Miss pageant were: Haven Marker, McKenna Yant, Meredith Hunt, Sage Jones, Autumn Gessler, Natalie Midlam, Jaelyn Hecht, Madilyn Wagner, Ella Locker, Kendale Francis, Karlee Francis, Zoe Ayette, Sierra Johnson, Alexandria Hayes, Glori Mae Rausch, Brooklynne Austen, Addison Pipenger Cassidy Seubert, Lauren Holzapfel, Adalynn Lawson, Bella Enicks, Kennedy Schoen, Emmy Rutherford, Adalyn Hartsock and Peyton Mason,
Additional contestants for Little Mr. were Mathieu Baldridge, Evan Ritchie, Teagan Brock, Max McKibben, Connor Price, Ethan Subler, Zachary Shimp, Skyler Derksen and Eli Gosnell.
Mike Kemper, former Darke countian, served as emcee of the pageant. Judges were Lorraine Grote, Mary Lane, Dan Franks and Keith Foutz.
