DARKE COUNTY - As yet another winter storm moved through the Miami Valley, crews struggled to keep roadways clear of snow drifts caused by wind gusts of up to 50 MPH and additional snowfall effecting the entire county over the weekend.
Visibility was reduced to just a few feet in some rural parts of the county along with frigid temperatures making driving treacherous. Darke County dealt with numerous slide-offs and accidents caused by the road conditions.
Sheriff Toby Spencer upgraded the Darke County Snow Advisory to Level 2 late Friday night as the arctic system began to overwhelm the area.
