GREENVILLE - A Greenville residence was heavily damaged by a 2-alarm structure fire Wednesday afternoon.
The Greenville Fire Department first responded to the 2-story structure at 323 East Fourth St. after smoke and fire was scene coming from the upper rear part of the dwelling.
A second alarm was dispatched for additional manpower to assist in controlling the fire that sits just feet from a neighboring structure on either side.
The Darke County Red Cross was called to assist the upstairs resident of the duplex. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
