Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy Retreat

VERSAILLES – The regional catholic churches of St. Denis, Holy Family and Immaculate Conception are offering an Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy Retreat on Saturday, Feb. 6 in the basement of St. Denis Church, 14 E Wood Street Versailles.

The retreat is designed to prepare for Lent. The doors open at 8 a.m. for registration and socializing over morning refreshments. The retreat begins at 9 a.m. with Morning Prayer. Lunch is provided at noon. The retreat ends at 3 p.m. offering ample time for confession which is available from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. and mass at 5 p.m. for those who are interested.

“The retreat led by Amy and Pat McEntee will help you focus on living your faith in the midst of day to day struggles. You will learn the necessary tools to unite both your family and community in living out God’s command to be merciful through consolation, pardon and hope,” said organizers.

There will be activities throughout the day, as well as time for reflection, questions and discussion.

Amy McEntee is an assistant director in the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. She currently serves as Executive Director of the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association. She holds a bachelor’s of science in education and taught high school English prior to entering the field of catechetical ministry. With ministry experience in faith formation for children, youth and adults, Amy has served as a consultant and presenter, most frequently in the areas of the use of social media in ministry, intergenerational ministry and ministry to young adults. She is finishing her master’s degree in theological studies at the University of Dayton.

In addition to her professional interests, she is an amateur photographer, avid reader, and reluctant runner. She lives with her husband, Pat, in Dayton, Ohio. Pat has been a youth minster, retreat leader, college and high school campus minister, high school religion teacher and vocation minister. He is awaiting a heart transplant.
