COVINGTON — The Tri-Village girls basketball team beat Covington 39-34 on Monday in Covington.

Tri-Village led 11-6 at the end of the first quarter, 23-19 at halftime and 30-27 at the end of the third quarter to hold on for the five-point win.

Krystal Falknor led Tri-Village with 10 points in the game. Also for the Lady Patriots, Heather Ferris scored six points, Raya Mikesell scored six, Ecko Brown scored five, Lexie Bruner scored four, Danika Mann scored four, Allie Downing scored two, and Rachel Miller scored two.

Covington’s Cassidy Cain led all scorers with 16 points in the game. Also for the Buccs, Carly Shell scored six points, Brooke Gostomsky scored five, Heidi Cron scored four, Morgan McReynolds scored two, and Lexie Long scored one.

Tri-Village improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the Cross County Conference with the win. Covington fell to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the CCC.
