Entertainment for the children will include Willie the Clown, face painting and multiple free Bounce Houses. The featured movie “Minions” will be playing in the Ben Franklin parking lot starting around 9 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs and/or a blanket for the movie and enjoy the film along with free popcorn provided by the Arcanum Utility Department. The Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society invites you to join them for their next Coffee and Conversation this Saturday. Lyle Bixler will be the guest host for a “Memory Lane” recollection on Saturday morning at 10. Lyle has been a Darke County real estate salesman since 1971, opening his own office, Lyle Bixler Realty in Arcanum, in 1978. Having grown up in Monroe Township, Lyle is a graduate of Franklin-Monroe High School. In 45 years of business, Lyle has seen area demographics change, how fires and tornadoes have altered the look of our community and how expectations of home owners change with the times. He has sold homes to three generations of families. All that leads to some interesting stories about our neighborhoods and for that matter our neighbors. You are welcome to join in on the fun and please bring your stories to share as well in this time to relax and reminisce.

Happy Birthday America! It’s the 4th of July! Thomas Jefferson said, “Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation and freedom in all just pursuits.”
