Versailles News: Nominations sought for recognition

0

The Versailles Chamber of Commerce (VACC) is requesting nominations for the “Citizen of the Year Award” which they present to an individual or couple each January. This award was established to honor community leaders whose service has had a profound impact on the quality of life for Versailles and its surrounding communities.

The responsibility of nominating peers is an open privilege of significant importance. Nomination letters should be sent to the VACC, PO Box 145, Versailles, OH 45380 or emailed to: [email protected]. Nominations should be submitted by Dec. 27. Anyone can submit a nomination letter describing the nominee’s dedication to family, work, community and charities. Be sure to sign your letter with your contact information.

Versailles has many humanitarian-minded, dedicated individuals that have made Versailles progressive but without a nomination they cannot be considered and without these individuals Versailles would not be progressive. If you have any questions you may contact any of the members of the board of directors. They are: Aaron Moran, Rodd Hale, Fred Poeppelman, Kathy Magoto, Scott Langston, Dan Watren, Mitch Eiting, Brian Wagner, Ron Mescher, Jerry Bey, Leslie Comer and Jackie Briscoe.

The Poultry Days Board of Directors is calling for nominations for the honorary parade marshal. The title recognizes commitment, leadership, accomplishment and/or contributions to the community of Versailles, which includes those within the Versailles School District. Nominations should be submitted to Versailles Poultry Days, PO Box 108, Versailles, OH or emailed to [email protected] by December 31. Nominations are limited to individuals or a couple. For a list of prior parade marshals go to www.versaillespoultrydays.com.
