Arcanum News: First hometown gala and horse parade a huge success

The first Hometown Gala and Horse Parade a huge success thanks to many volunteers and organizers in the Arcanum Business Association (ABA) and the Arcanum Athletic Boosters. They contacted me this past week and ask that I share their share their appreciation to the community.

“The Arcanum Business Association and the Arcanum Athletic Boosters would like to extend a big thank you to all of the companies that sponsored the 1st annual Christmas in the Park & Horse Parade in Arcanum on Saturday, December 9.

We would also like to thank the following for their support: Mayor Judy Fourman, Village Administrator Bill Kessler, village council members, police chief Andrew Ashbaugh, fire chief Kurt Troutwine, utility Supervisor Kier Smith, utility workers, Arcanum street department (Mark and Jenni), horse parade committee, Arcanum Butler superintendent John Stephens, AJ Aikman and Chris Guillerman. Thank you to the Pleasant Hill VFW Post # 6557 with their color guard unit that led the parade with the American flag. We would also like to thank the residents of Arcanum.

We could not accomplish the parade without the support of the community. Also a big thank you to all of our volunteers from the Arcanum Community of Faith church and FHC of Arcanum. Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped decorate Ivester Park as well. We would also like to thank all of the parade participants. Thank you for all of the individual riders and teams of horses that braved the weather and made the parade a huge success. We appreciate your dedication and commitment”.
