DARKE COUNTY — Franklin Monroe senior Brian Robison and coach Danny Diceanu were named the Cross County Conference boys soccer player and coach of the year by the league.Robison, who repeated as the CCC boys soccer player of the year, was joined on the all-CCC first team by teammates Britt Bowlin, Marcus Horner and Jake Shellabarger.In girls soccer, Franklin Monroe’s Bryanna Diceanu, Rayna Horner and Jenna King all were named first team all-CCC.Franklin Monroe’s Daniel Wiseman was to the CCC special mention team in boys soccer while the Jets’ Bryce Robison made the CCC honorable mention team.


Versailles FFA and alumni host safety event

VERSAILLES — The Versailles FFA and FFA Alumni hosted its first Grain Bin and Hearing Safety Awareness Program on Tuesday night, and included a CART demonstration and presentation by Versailles FFA members.“We had done a very similar program with grain rescue with the firefighters,” Dena Wuebker, agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor at Versailles High School said. “So this time, we decided to focus it more on farm families.”
