SIDNEY – The Ansonia girls basketball team lost its regular season finale 63-51 on Saturday at Fairlawn.

Brooke Neal led Ansonia in scoring with 18 points, Abby Helmke added 14 and Jailyn Thwaits chipped in 12 for the Tigers. Stefani Garrett dished out four assists.

The Lady Tigers finished the regular season with a 12-10 overall record and a 7- 5 Cross County Conference record.

The Ansonia junior varsity girls basketball team also had a fine season with a 15-5 finish.

The Tigers will be back in action at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Sidney in sectional tournament play with Botkins.
