Mississinawa Valley softball team loses at Jackson Center

JACKSON CENTER – The Mississinawa Valley softball team lost 6-4 at Jackson Center on Tuesday.

Mississinawa Valley took an early lead with one run in the first inning and three in the second. However, Jackson Center scored three runs in the bottom half of the second inning, two in the fourth and one in the fifth to win by two.

Jackson Center had eight hits and no errors in the game while MV had six hits and three errors.

Kinsie Blocher went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Mississinawa. Paxton Scholl was 2-for-4 with a double and stolen base. Bailey Johnson went 1-for-3 with a walk and scored two runs.

Makayla Coning was 1-for-4. Leslie Dirksen walked and drove in a run. Grace Livingston and Trinity Konwiczka both walked and scored a run.

Dirksen pitched the complete game, allowing two earned runs and four unearned runs on eight hits, one walk and six strikeouts.

Mississinawa Valley fell to 3-10 with the loss.
