In the bottom of the third the Buccs only scored Warner off of an RBI from Brooke Gostomsky. This made the score 12-0.

In the fourth the Buccs only scored Taylor Ray by an RBI from Kristen Fries to make it 13-0. The third out in this inning came from an illegal sub.

“I am not happy with this game,” Mississinawa Valley coach Jeff Adams said. “Covington is a very tough team, though. They are mentally sound and have a great coach.

“We need to learn from these kinds of games. We are a very young team. We have one senior, the rest are sophomores and freshmen. Give us a year to develop and we will be a decent team. We made a few mistakes, which are never good when you show up to play a team like Covington.”

Covington has only lost one game.
