Mississinawa Valley baseball team loses at Twin Valley South

WEST ALEXANDRIA – Twin Valley South scored nine runs in the first inning to defeat Mississinawa Valley 9-2 in a Cross County Conference baseball game.

After allowing nine runs in the opening inning, Mississinawa Valley held South scoreless the rest of the game. The Blackhawks only managed two runs in the fourth inning, though.

Mississinawa Valley had five hits and two errors in the game. Twin Valley South had eight hits and one error.

Tyler Jenkinson went 2-for-3 with a double and a run for MV. Zach Dirmeyer was 1-for-3 with a run. Trent Collins went 1-for-2 and stole a base. Andrew Johns was 1-for-3. Levi Livingston drove in a run.

Colyn Nelson allowed three earned runs and three unearned runs on two hits and no walks without retiring a batter. Ethan Bowman allowed two earned runs on no hits and two walks without retiring a batter. Johns pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on six hits, three walks and two strikeouts.
