Arcanum, Versailles ranked in state baseball poll

COLUMBUS – The Arcanum and Versailles baseball teams both received votes in the second Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association poll of the 2016 season.

Versailles earned four points in the Division III poll to be tied for 22nd in the state rankings, dropping from its 18th place ranking last week. After not receiving any votes last week, Arcanum earned one point in this week’s poll and is tied for 33rd in the Division III rankings.

Other teams with Darke County connections ranked in this week’s state poll include Greater Western Ohio Conference member Vandalia-Butler being ranked No. 2 in Division I, GWOC member Springboro being ranked No. 4 in Division I, GWOC member Beavercreek being ranked No. 9 in Division I, GWOC member Lebanon being ranked No. 16 in Division I, Midwest Athletic Conference member Coldwater being ranked No. 1 in Division III, MAC member Minster being ranked No. 8 in Division IV, MAC member Fort Recovery being ranked No. 9 in Division IV, MAC member St. Henry being ranked No. 14 in Division IV and Tri-County North being ranked No. 30 in Division IV.
