3 Darke County soccer teams earn home playoff games

DARKE COUNTY – Three of Darke County’s four high school soccer teams earned home games in the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament.

Greenville’s boys (7-4-3) earned the 11th seed in the Division I Dayton sectional tournament and will play host to 12th seeded Miamisburg (6-7-1) at 7 p.m. Monday in the first round of the playoffs.

The Franklin Monroe boys (10-4) are the third seed in the Division III Dayton sectional and will play host to 24th seeded Fairlawn (5-9-1) at 7 p.m. Monday.

Franklin Monroe’s girls (7-4-3) earned the 12th seed in the Division III North sectional and will play host to 16th seeded Greeneview (7-7-1) at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 to begin the postseason.

The Greenville girls (0-11) are the 13th seeded team in the Division II Dayton sectional and will travel to sixth seeded Valley View (10-2-2) at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 for their tournament opener.
