PITSBURG – Franklin Monroe senior Bryanna Diceanu was named the Cross County Conference girls soccer player of the year for the 2016 season.
Diceanu led the CCC with 27 goals and also had a pair of assists for the Jets.
Along with Diceanu, Franklin Monroe’s Chloe Brumbaugh and Jessica Hinshaw were named first team all-CCC.
Franklin Monroe’s Nychelle Cool was named to the CCC’s special mention team.
Newton’s Stan Fessler was named the CCC girls soccer coach of the year.
Newton won the CCC championship with a 5-0-1 conference record. Miami East finished second at 4-0-2, Franklin Monroe finished third at 3-1-2, Bethel finished fourth at 3-2-1, Tri-County North finished fifth with a 2-4 record, and National Trail and Twin Valley South tied for sixth at 0-5-1.
