RICHMOND, Ind. – Indiana University East cross country runners Morgan Stanley and Adam Klipstine represented the Red Wolf program on the 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list.
In order to be nominated for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
Stanley made the cross country Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list for the second consecutive year. She is a biology major.
Klipstine, an Arcanum alumnus, earned the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor for the first time. He is an elementary education major.
A total of 557 runners nationwide made the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete lists. More runners qualify to run in the NAIA national meet than qualify for the scholar-athlete list.
IU East recently completed its 2016 cross country season. The Red Wolves sent runners to the national meet for the sixth time in eight seasons.
