Greenville wrestling team places 3rd in home invitational

GREENVILLE – The Greenville wrestling team finished third as the Green Wave hosted the eight-team Greenville Invitational on Saturday.

Brookville won the eight-team invitational with 177 points, Goshen finished as the runner up with 170 points, and Greenville was third with 139. Lima Shawnee finished fourth with 127 points, Tri-County North was fifth with 115, Waynesville placed sixth with 95, Arcanum was seventh with 43, and Dunbar finished eighth with four.

Greenville’s Andrew Stachler won the 106 pound class while Goshen’s Bailey Davenport finished as the runner up.

Goshen’s Chase Huff won the 113 pound class, Brookville’s Devin Miller was the runner up, and Waynesville’s Casey St. Pierre finished third.

Arcanum’s Ethan Hoffman won the 120 pound class, Waynesville’s Travis Foster was the runner up, and Greenville’s Austin Lacey finished third. Huffman was undefeated in his matches while Lacey went 2-1 in pool competition prior to his third place win.

Greenville’s Dean Hurd won the 126 pound class, Shawnee’s Trever Miller finished second, and Brookville’s Justice Stoll finished third. Hurd went undefeated while Arcanum’s Aidan Erickson was 0-3.

Tri-County North’s Chayse Eby won the 132 pound class, Goshen’s Thomas Hill finished second, and Brookville’s Cory Teegarden finished third. Greenville’s Nathaniel Anthony went 1-3, and Arcanum’s Brayden Gilem went 0-4.

Greenville’s Jacob Mikesell won the 138 pound class, Goshen’s Brice Briggs finished as the runner up, and Greenville’s Joseph Edwards placed third. Mikesell was undefeated while Edwards went 3-2 in pool competition prior to his third place win.

Goshen’s Jacob Kube won the 145 pound class, Waynesville’s Thomas Foster finished third, and Shawnee’s Trent Fairburn finished third. Greenville’s Jacob Goldsmith was 3-1 in pool competition but lost in the third place match, and Arcanum’s Dylan Burns went 1-2.

Waynesville’s Brandon Bohman won the 152 pound class, Shawnee’s Joey Hall finished second, and Arcanum’s Matt Todd finished third. Todd was 2-2 in pool competition before his third place win.

Shawnee’s Clay Adlesh won the 160 pound class, Waynesville’s Kyle Rodriguez was the runner up, and Brookville’s Peter Hummel finished third. Greenville’s Jeremy Eshbaugh was 2-1 in pool competition but lost the third place match.

Brookville’s Landon Armbruster won the 170 pound class, Shawnee’s Ivan Smith was the runner up, and Shawnee’s Cain Bentz finished third. Greenville’s Christian Chalmers was 2-1 in pool competition but lost the third place match. Greenville’s Zane Mancillas went 0-2 in pool competition, and Arcanum’s Dylan Rhodehamel went 0-3.

Brookville’s Josiah White won the 182 pound class, Brookville’s Luke Williams finished second, and Greenville’s Dodge Sucharda finished third. Sucharda was 2-2 in pool competition prior to his third place match win.

Tri-County North’s Tyler Gray won the 195 pound class, Brookville’s Justin Eyler finished second, and Shawnee’s Solomon Bryant finished third. Greenville’s Zach Foster went 2-1 in pool competition but then lost the third place match while Greenville’s Caden Gonzalez went 0-3.

Tri-County North’s Wyatt Hutchins won the 220 pound class, Brookville’s Seth Linville was the runner up, and Brookville’s Daniel Milby finished third. Arcanum’s Jack Walters and Greenville’s Landin Brown both were 0-2.

Goshen’s Austin Arnold won the 285 pound class, Tri-County North’s Dakota Dixon finished second, and Brookville’s Matt Hamm finished third. Greenville’s Blaine Hawley went 0-3.
