Bradford girls basketball team beats Northridge for its 1st win

DAYTON – Bradford won its first game of the season on Tuesday, erasing a first half deficit to defeat Northridge 45-32 in a girls basketball game.

Northridge took an 8-7 lead in the first quarter and increased its lead to 22-19 at halftime. In the third quarter Bradford took a 29-26 lead and outscored the Polar Bears by 10 in the fourth quarter to win 45-32.

Mandi Bates led Bradford with a game-high 18 points. Also for the Railroaders, Bianca Keener scored 8 points, Chelsea Gill scored 6, Hannah Fout scored 4, Ally Booker scored 3, Brooke Fair scored 2, Liv Hart scored 2, and Bailey Wysong scored 2.

Jamese Johnson led Northridge with 16 points. Also for the Polar Bears, Loraine Reeder scored 7 points, Ashlie Smith scored 6, and Ashley Allison scored 3.

Bradford improved to 1-6 with the win. Northridge fell to 1-9.
