WESTERVILLE – Greenville graduate Harmony Kolling, a track and field athlete at Otterbein University, earned athlete of the week honors from the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Sophomore Brandon Shade (Massillon/Tuslaw) earned Track Athlete of the Week honors on the men’s side and Kolling (Greenville/Greenville) was voted as Field Athlete of the Week on the women’s side.

Kolling, a junior, opened Saturday’s Otterbein Invitational with a solid performance in the pole vault, placing first after clearing 12-1 1/2 (3.70m) to post the second-best result amongst the early-season national qualifier list. Kolling edged teammate Jenna D’Errico, who finished second in the event, by 10 points due to fewer misses.

Shade turned in a pair of solid performances at last weekend’s meet, taking first-place in the 60-meter hurdles (8.50), before following up with his second top-10 finish of the day with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash (54.33).

The Cardinals return to action on Friday at the OAC South Split Meet, hosted by Marietta College.
