Mississinawa Valley, Versailles bowling teams win

NEW BREMEN – The Mississinawa Valley and Versailles girls bowling teams won West Ohio High School Bowling Conference matches on Saturday at Speedway Lanes in New Bremen

Mississinawa Valley’s girls beat Fort Recovery 2,288-1,750. Spencer Warren led Mississinawa Valley with games of 211 and 201, Payton Reichard rolled two games of 179, Tabitha Richards bowled games of 150 and 147, Tiffany Westfall had games of 142 and 149, Jennifer Teegarden bowled a 112, and Airrika Westfall rolled a 110.

Mississinawa Valley improved to 5-4 with the win.

The Versailles girls beat New Bremen 2,514-2,049. Morgan Heitkamp led Versailles with games of 201 and 202, Brigette Holsapple rolled games of 182 and 167, Maggie Hedrick rolled games of 143 and 158, Makenzie Berning bowled games of 148 and 143, and Jamee Brown rolled a 137.

Versailles improved to 8-2 with the victory.

Ansonia’s girls lost 2,300-1,791 to Minster. Lexi Shinn led Ansonia with games of 132 and 142, Molly Walls rolled games of 135 and 123, Madison Stover bowled games of 117 and 126, Audrey Kelly rolled games of 107 and 115, Sarah Rhoades rolled a 136, and Rebecca Thornhill rolled a 106.

Ansonia fell to 1-9 with the loss.

The Ansonia boys lost 1,928-1,607 to Russia. Jedd Rismiller led Ansonia with games of 173 and 102, Charles Murphy rolled games of 96 and 137, Sam Rhoades bowled games of 124 and 87, Tyler Clark rolled a 97 and a 96, and Jacob Vietor rolled games of 43 and 88.

Ansonia fell to 0-9 with the loss.

Versailles’ boys lost 2,972-2,829 to St. Henry. Kyle Cotner led Versailles with games of 258 and 232, Luke Shellhaas rolled games of 166 and 205, Jacob Wenig rolled a 195 and a 169, Alex Groff bowled games of 167 and 175, and Brandon Bradley rolled a 205.

Versailles fell to 6-3 with the loss.

The WOHSBC teams will finish up divisional play on Saturday with the Darke County teams competing at McBo’s Lanes in Versailles. At 9:45 a.m. Ansonia will take on Minster, Mississinawa Valley will face Marion Local, and Versailles with take on Fort Loramie. At 1 p.m. the Ansonia and Mississinawa Valley girls will face each other while Versailles takes on Minster.
