Versailles girls swim team wins OHSAA sectional championship

TROTWOOD – The Versailles High School girls swim team placed first out of 15 teams that scored points at the sectional swim meet held on Saturday at Trotwood High School, making the Versailles girls team the 2017 sectional champs.

Team scores were as follows: 1st, Versailles, 367 points; 2nd, Bellefontaine, 336.50 points; 3rd, Casstown Miami East, 221 points; 4th, Greenville, 194.50 points; 5th, Urbana, 173 points; 6th, Brookville, 147 points; 7th, Bellefontaine Benjamin Logan, 141 points; 8th, Dayton Stivers School for the Arts, 95 points; 9th (tie), Sidney Lehman Catholic, 71 points; 9th (tie), Springfield Greenon, 71 points; 11th, Arcanum, 58 points; 12th, Troy Christian, 54 points; 13th, Lewistown Indian Lake, 42 points; 14th, New Madison Tri-Village, 33 points; and 15th, Botkins, 27 points.

The girls District swim meet will be held on Friday at Miami University. The meet will start at 5:45 p.m.
