Greenville swimmers qualify for OHSAA district meet

TROTWOOD – Several Greenville swimmers qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association district swim meet with their performances in the sectionals this past weekend.

The Greenville boys competed on Friday at Trotwood-Madison High School, and the Greenville girls competed on Saturday in Trotwood.

Seth Conway qualified for the districts in the boys 200 freestyle and the boys 100 breaststroke.

Greenville’s boys 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams, which include Shane Barga, Josh Smith, Seth Conway, Brayden Price, Jacob Subler and Pablo Badell, qualified for the district meet.

Maggie Bankson qualified for districts in the girls 500 freestyle and girls 200 individual medley, setting a personal-best mark in the 200 IM on Saturday.

Isabella Gable won both the girls 200 freestyle and girls 500 freestyle, qualifying for the district meet in both events.

Greenville’s girls 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams of Gable, Isabel Elliott, Bankson and Kelsie Ruble both qualified for the districts.

Badell is an alternate for the district meet in the boys 100 breaststroke.

Greenville’s district qualifiers will compete on Friday at Miami University. The boys will begin competition at 10:45 a.m., and the girls will begin at 5:45 p.m.
