Versailles boys basketball team remains No. 2 in AP state poll

COLUMBUS – Versailles remained at No. 2 in Division III while Tri-Village fell out of the Division IV rankings in the Associated Press boys basketball state polls.

Tri-Village made its season debut at No. 12 in last week’s Division IV state rankings. However, the Patriots dropped out of the poll this week.

Versailles remained at No. 2 behind Leavittsburg Labrae in the Division III rankings for a second consecutive week. The Tigers, who have been ranked in all six polls this season ranging from second to seventh, also received one first-place vote for a third consecutive week.

A number of other schools with local connections are ranked this week. Springfield from the Greater Western Ohio Conference is ranked No. 10 in Division I, Trotwood-Madison from the GWOC is ranked No. 2 in Division II, and Bethel from the Cross County Conference is ranked 10th in Division III.

Below are the top 10 teams in the Associated Press Ohio high school basketball poll with first-place votes in parentheses and won-loss record, total points at right:
