Versailles girls track and field team wins Lady Tiger Classique

VERSAILLES – The Versailles girls track and field team began its season on Saturday by winning the championship at its own Lady Tiger Classique.

Girls from Ansonia, Arcanum, Bradford and Versailles all competed in Saturday’s track and field meet in Versailles, which was split into two divisions.

Versailles won the Black Division with 121 points, Covington finished second with 108, New Bremen finished third with 97, West Liberty-Salem finished fourth with 81, Dunbar finished fifth with 68, Sylvania Northview finished sixth with 60, Houston finished seventh with 47, Arcanum finished eighth with 39, St. Henry finished ninth with 32, and Versailles B finished 10th with 8.

Minster won the Orange Division with 195 points, Russia finished second with 120, Marion Local finished third with 106, Spencerville finished fourth with 91, Ansonia finished fifth with 44, Bradford finished sixth with 36, Newton finished seventh with 27, Crestview finished eighth with 18, and New Knoxville finished ninth with 13.

Versailles finished fourth in the Black 4×800 meter relay in 10:58.25, and Arcanum finished seventh in 11:41.69.

Versailles’ Dana Rose finished fourth in the Black 100 meter hurdles in 18.42, and Versailles’ Abigail White finished fifth in 18.68.

Ansonia’s A’Tyah Knowles finished fifth in the Orange 100 meter dash in 14.35, and Bradford’s Maia Stump finished sixth in 14.62.

Versailles’ Lucy Prakel finished sixth in the Black 100 meter dash with a time of 13.98, and Versailles’ Ava Moran finished seventh in 14.21.

Ansonia finished fourth in the Orange 4×200 meter relay in 1:57.46.

Versailles finished third in the Black 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:56.20 while Arcanum finished eighth in 2:12.58.

Bradford’s Karmen Knepp won the Orange 1,600 meter run in 5:30.13.

Versailles’ Kara Spitzer finished third in the Black 1,600 meter run in 5:48.46, and Arcanum’s Marcy Bradshaw finished fourth in 5:48.47.

Ansonia finished third in the Orange 4×100 meter relay with a time of 55.66.

Versailles finished second in the Black 4×100 meter relay in 54.21, and Arcanum finished eighth in 58.85.

Versailles’ Dana Rose finished second in the Black 300 meter hurdles in 51.54, Versailles’ Abigail White finished seventh in 55.84, and Arcanum’s Trinity Layman finished eighth in 55.89.

Ansonia’s Katie Werts finished sixth in the Orange 800 meter run in 2:51.18 while Ansonia’s Olivia Wright finished eighth in 2:53.60.

Bradford’s Maia Stump finished seventh in the Orange 200 meter run in 30.60.

Bradford’s Karmen Knepp won the Orange 3,200 meter run in 12:00.68.

Versailles’ Kara Spitzer won the Black 3,200 meter run in 12:33.26, Arcanum’s Marcy Bradshaw finished second in 12:42.12, Versailles’ Megan Rismiller finished fourth in 13:44.05, and Versailles’ Hannah Bey finished seventh in 13:54.58.

Bradford finished fifth in the Orange 4×400 meter relay with a time of 4:41.39.

Versailles finished third in the Black 4×400 meter relay in 4:29.46, and Arcanum finished seventh in 5:11.44.

Arcanum’s Samantha McAllister finished third in the Black shot put with a toss of 32 feet 3.5 inches, and Arcanum’s Morgan Best finished seventh with a throw of 28 feet 7 inches.

Ansonia’s Aleesha James finished fifth in the Orange discus throw with a throw of 78 feet 4 inches, and Ansonia’s Torri Wickham finished seventh with a throw of 75 feet 8 inches.

Versailles’ Brittney Hiestand finished third in the Black discus throw with a throw of 92 feet 8 inches, Versailles’ Lindsey Didier finished sixth with a throw of throw of 87 feet 10 inches, and Arcanum’s Morgan Best finished seventh with a throw of 84 feet 9 inches.

Ansonia’s Lydia Sink finished second in the Orange long jump with a jump of 16 feet 2.25 inches, Bradford’s Maia Stump finished fifth with jump of 15 feet 4 inches, and Bradford’s Mercedes Smith finished sixth with a jump of 15 feet 2.75 inches.

Versailles’ Jenna Frantz finished second in the Black long jump with a jump of 14 feet 10.25 inches, and Versailles’ Cassie Peters finished third with a jump of 13 feet 11.75 inches.

Ansonia’s Lydia Sink finished third in the Orange high jump by clearing 4 feet 10 inches, and Ansonia’s Aliya Barga finished fourth by clearing 4 feet 8 inches.

Versailles’ Katie Pothast finished second in the Black high jump by clearing 4 feet 10 inches, Versailles’ Jada Barlage finished fourth by clearing 4 feet 8 inches, Versailles B’s Kayla Bergman finished fifth by clearing 4 feet 6 inches, and Arcanum’s Kalista Harleman finished seventh by clearing 4 feet 6 inches.

Versailles’ Jenna Frantz finished second in the Black pole vault by vaulting 10 feet 6 inches, Versailles’ Lucy Prakel finished fourth by clearing 9 feet 6 inches, and Arcanum’s Isabella Whiting finished sixth by clearing 8 feet.
