Greenville baseball team defeats Troy 3-1

GREENVILLE – Greenville beat Troy 3-1 in a Greater Western Ohio Conference baseball game on Monday.

Greenville scored first with a run in the bottom of the third and then added two runs in the fifth inning. Troy scored its only run of the game in the sixth inning.

Greenville had four hits and no errors in Monday’s game while Troy had two hits and one error.

Peter Pandey went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs for Greenville. Landon Eldridge was 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and two RBI. Tyler Beyke was 1-for-2, was hit by a pitch and scored a run.

Kyle Mills pitched the complete game for Greenville, allowing one run on two hits, two walks and five strikeouts.

Greenville improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the GWOC with the victory.
