Bradford’s Karmen Knepp sets 2 school records at Miami County Invitational track and field meet

PIQUA – Bradford’s Karmen Knepp broke two school records during the Miami County Invitational track and field meet on Tuesday.

Knepp won the girls 3,200 meter run in 11:36. 29, breaking her previous school record of 11:40.2. She finished second in the girls 1,600 meter run in 5:19.86, breaking her previous school record of 5:26.37.

Maia Stump finished fourth in the girls long jump by jumping 15 feet 11 inches. Mercedes Smith finished seventh by jumping 14 feet 8 inches.

Jacob McQuinn finished fourth in the boys discus throw with a throw of 136 feet 9 inches. He finished ninth in the boys shot put with a toss of 34 feet 3 inches.

Bradford finished sixth in the girls 4×200 meter relay in 2:04.2.

Bradford’s quartet of Kyle Mills, Hayden Dickerson, Nick Mowry and Kurt Hoover finished sixth in the boys 4×400 meter relay in 3:46.0.

Kyle Mills finished sixth in the boys high jump by clearing 5 feet 6 inches.

Hunter Penkal finished seventh in the boys 110 meter hurdles in 18.98.

Bradford’s boys 4×200 meter relay team finished seventh in 1:52.0.

Johnny Fike finished seventh in the boys 1,600 meter run in 5:00.7. He finished ninth in the boys 800 meter run in 2:15.8.

Kyle Mills finished eighth in the boys 400 meter dash in 55.59.

Mercedes Smith finished ninth in the girls 400 meter dash in 1:06.9.

Bradford’s boys 4×100 meter relay team finished ninth in 56.76.

Jay Roberts finished 10th in the boys 3,200 meter run in 11:27.2.

Bradford’s boys and girls teams both finished seventh out of 10 squads overall. Miami East won the boys championship, and Troy won the girls championship.
